Expand STEM Skills with Yale Young Global Scholars
Science Olympiad has a thriving relationship with Yale University, where a group of Science Olympiad undergraduate alums host an excellent and well-attended Invitational Tournament. While many of our Science Olympiad teams on the East Coast and surrounding areas have gotten to know the campus better by competing at Yale, we’d like to take it a step further and invite students on Science Olympiad teams in your state to consider applying for the Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) program. Working with the coordinators of YYGS, we’re hoping to help expand their reach and bring more STEM-focused students to the program.
The YYGS Program is an academic enrichment and leadership program that brings together outstanding high school students from around the world for intensive two-week sessions on the Yale campus. Participants will attend lectures by distinguished Yale faculty, participate in a variety of topical seminars designed specifically for YYGS and working in teams, develop and present a novel, pragmatic response to a contemporary challenge in one of the core program areas. YYGS has now expanded to accommodate 1,000+ participants. Need-based scholarships are available, and well-rounded students are welcome.
